Unit Coordinator / Vocational Counselor

A day Clubhouse program seeks an energetic and creative person to support and empower adults with mental illness to reach their fullest potential through active engagement and job training/assistance. This full-time position is mostly day-time hours. The ability and willingness to assist with daily transportation of participants is a must. Degree in related field &/or one year related experience required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a valid MA driver’s license. This rewarding position offers competitive salary, outstanding compensation package including 401K and opportunity for professional and educational advancement. Community Employment Coordinator

Elm Brook Place, Bedford
Elm Brook Place, an ICCD certified clubhouse in Bedford, seeks an energetic, dynamic and organized person preferably with strong clubhouse experience/familiarity with the challenges faced by individuals with psychiatric disabilities to spearhead community job development and placement of program members. Candidates must possess excellent communication and people skills, and ability to work independently. This position will require developing relationships with local area employers, chambers of commerce and other civic organizations beneficial to the program and it’s employment goals. The position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm. The annual salary is $30,000.00 - $35,000 Candidates must possess BA/BS, experience working with this population and a valid drivers license. Competitive salary with annual increases and great benefits including 3 weeks vacation your first year. Responsibilities include: community job development; job placement, training and coverage as needed; coordination and training of job site placement managers; benefits (SSA/Masshealth/Section 8) counseling, assistance and documentation for program members; planning and teaching weekly job preparedness classes; development of individual vocational goal plans and resumes; involvement and integration of program members in employment activities including data tracking and reporting, and weekly job search in local paper; on-going working relationship with Elm Brook’s Business Development Board, DMH, and the Mass. Clubhouse Coalition Employment Committee.

LIGHTHOUSE: Sr. Employment Coordinator

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responsible for overall coordination of Lighthouse employment acquisition, including job development, identification of needs and priorities.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with employers.
  3. Represent Lighthouse at various networking events and functions for the purpose of developing job leads and marketing Lighthouse.
  4. Oversee transitional employment system identifying needs, gaps and evaluating sites.
  5. Oversee personal employment planning process.
  6. Serve as primary contact for members to funders in areas relating to benefits and entitlements.
  7. Coordinate employment unit.

GENESIS CLUB: Business and snack shop/maintenance units

Genesis Club, Worcester
Genesis Club, a nationally recognized rehabilitation center for people with psychiatric disabilities is seeking two qualified full time staff to join our team. Candidates should possess an understanding of serious mental illness, a passion for excellence, positive attitude and enjoy multi-tasking. The positions are in the business and snack shop/maintenance units of the Clubhouse and include working individually with people striving towards independent housing. Duties include, working side by side with members daily, organizing and engaging others in work of the unit, overseeing employment placements in Worcester and assisting our members to pursue quality of life goals such as jobs, school, tenancies and healthy lifestyles. PROGRAM COORDINATOR / SUPERVISOR

Lighthouse Clubhouse, Springfield
1. Provide leadership in the daily operations of Lighthouse, providing direction and assistance to other staff, developing and coordinating work ordered day activities.
2. Supervise unit coordinators, providing feedback, training and development, monitoring performance.
3. Carry out, assign and oversee clubhouse projects, initiatives and activities, including accreditation processes.
4. Work as liaison to Department of Mental Health and provider system related to member issues.
5. Oversee and coordinate rehab planning process, advisor system, member files
6. Serve as Manager in absence of Program Manager.

Food Service Unit Staff (Snack Bar) - Pioneer House

Pioneer House , Peabody, MA
REPORTS TO: Food Service Unit Leader POSITION SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Food Service Unit Leader, is responsible to work with members in maintaining meaningful work and relationships. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in related human services field and two years experience in mental health preferred. Must possess knowledge of Clubhouse philosophies and practices. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a valid driver’s license with ability to drive. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Must be able to cover Transitional Employment positions.
